Cosmetic Lip Tattoos
These tattoos bring an enhanced natural beauty look, while making your lips appear fuller and more defined.
All colour options are custom mixed for your lips, face and skin tone. The lip colours can range from natural to more vibrant colours depending on your preference.
After the procedure, the colours will be intense and your lips will look and feel puffy because of the swelling that is likely to occur. The colour intensity of your lip tattoo will fade up to 80% as the colour heals into the skin.

Tattooed Lip Liner & Contour
A lip liner & contour tattoo is permanent makeup for your lips that resembles lip liner to define and accentuate the edges of the lips, with a soft blending-down so there is no harsh line. The natural lip colour is left in the centre of the lips, a more subtle look and a great alternative to the thin lip liners of the past.
Full Colour Lip Tattoos
The lip full colour fill is when the lip is lined and defined to enhance the natural look of the lip, then the entire lip is coloured in. With a lip tattoo for liner and colour, your lips will look balanced yet enhanced.
With any permanent-makeup lip procedure, you’ll have a natural-looking cosmetic tattoo for your lips without ever having to worry about lipstick! Lipstick can be applied overtop, as your lips are just a different “base colour” with the tattoo.
Follow-Up Appointments (Return clients)
Follow up appointments may be made for after the 10 – 12 week mark.
These services typically require 2 sessions to ensure your results are optimal. Your second session builds off of your healed result, perfecting your shape and colouring, and any adjustments are made if needed. After this, maintenance sessions keep your work looking refreshed.

Lip Tattoo Frequently Asked Questions
-
The tattoo will never fully go away. Results will always vary from person to person but after your initial session and the touch up (if required), your results should last between 2-5 years, before you would want a refresher -dependant on the subltey of the service.
-
Everyone has different pain thresholds so this is always a tough question to answer. However, most report that initially there is a “tickling” sensation as topical anaesthetic is applied for 20 minutes prior to the tattoo in addition to secondary numbing during the tattoo. The area can get tender by the end of the service but it is generally described as manageable.
-
Generally speaking, the appointment is approximately 3 hours. This ensures that the appointment doesn’t feel rushed.
-
For the most natural lip tint, its ideal to pick a colour as close to your natural lip colour and tone. If a lipstick effect is desired, you are welcome to bring your favourite colour for us to match as closely as we can.
-
You can still wear lipstick overtop, the tattoo is just changing the base colour of your lips. If your lipstick is a solid colour, you won’t see the lip tattoo beneath. If you are wearing a gloss, it will enhance your lip tattoo.
-
The pigment colour can fade up to 50% so you will leave your appointment with a brighter/lipstick look. Your lips may also be swollen, (which some people like the look of!) this usually subsides within a few days.
-
Lips take a little bit longer for the fully healed colour to “bloom.” Generally, you are able to have another appointment after approximately 3 months. Often a touch up isn’t required, this will depend on the colour chosen and the intensity we are trying to achieve, as well as how you’ve healed.
-
You can get a refresher whenever you would like, but the colour will last at least 3-5 years depending on colour and longterm aftercare.
-
Healing is around 7-10 days as lips heal generally faster than other permanent makeup services. However, the longer the scabbing stays on, the better the healed result.
